About the Artist:
Mary Iverson is an artist based in Seattle. Her paintings explore the balance between the natural world and industrial activities, inspiring conversations about the causes and consequences of climate change. Her main sources of inspiration are close to her home: the beautiful Port of Seattle, and three magnificent National Parks (Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades National Park). In addition to her fine art paintings, she is also a muralist. Her most recent mural was part of the Murals in the Market festival in Detroit, Michigan. Mary teaches visual art at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Washington, where she is a tenured faculty member.
